Edit captions for my video

All videos uploaded for classroom use by a UD instructor will be automatically closed-captioned.

To edit your captions:

  1. Navigate to Warpwire Video within your course site
  2. Click on the video to begin playing it
  3. Click on the CC button in the play bar
  4. Next to the "English" option, click on the arrow icon.

  5. Choose the "Caption" option to download.
  6. It will download a .vtt file to your computer.
  7. Open up the Notepad (Windows) or TextEdit (Mac) software on your computer.
  8. Click on File -> Open.
  9. Change the file option it looks for from Txt files to All Files.

  10. Find the file on your computer and open it.
  11. Edit the captions as necessary. Do NOT change the timestamps.
  12. Save the file when you are finished editing.
  13. Return to the main page of Warpwire.
  14. Click on the circle with the three dots on the video.
  15. Click on Settings.
  16. In the Captions section, click on Add.
  17. Find and upload the saved caption file from your computer.
  18. Your edited captions will now be attached to this video.
